The driving force behind Adventure Ashore is David Arrigo (author of three books) who has been collecting and restoring Historic Cars for over 40 years. We now build and refurbish our fleet of cars available for Adventure Ashore on the island of Malta. We own a small collection of classic and vintage cars including the islands oldest car, a 1904 Model B Cadillac. We rally a pair of 1948 M Type Allards and have participated in the 1997 Peking to Paris and 1998 London to Cape Town coming 1st and winning a Gold Medal in the latter. We are rebuilding a third and identical Allard with the intention of forming an Allard Adventure Team to participate (after 2008) in Historic Marathon Classic Car Rallies. Drivers and navigators seats will be available for prospective participants who might like the idea of doing such rallies as part of a team and not in their own vehicles. We were also the originators of the Historic Omnibus Company which operates three Vintage buses for Historic Bus Tours on the island of Malta. The Barchetta 595 is a development of the original design by Peter Stevens the celebrated designer. Furthermore, an EV Barchetta Electric Car is currently being built, which hopefully will be available in Malta for self-drive tours of Valletta and Gibraltar.
